Ms Hinch fans share ‘game-changing’ £1 hack to unlock sinks – ‘it really works!’
Ms Hinch rose to social media fame several years ago when she started sharing unusual cleaning tips and tricks on Instagram. Today, with over four million followers, his fans share their own advice on dedicated Facebook pages, including how to unblock the pits.
Posting on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, Bethany Cook wrote: “My bath pipe has a serious hair blockage.
“I’ve tried drain opener, liquid and powder, but to no avail. My tub takes a while to drain, are there other products I can use?”
Hair alone does not block drains, but combining hair with shampoos, oils, and soaps can bind strands of hair together, causing blockage.
Hair can prevent water from flowing freely through drains and can cause quite significant blockages.

Ms. Hinch fans recommended pouring boiling water over the soda crystals to soften them.
Sharing tips on the same Facebook page, cleaning enthusiasts also shared top tips for eliminating bad smells coming from the sink.
Wendy Jennifer Wells said: “Put baking soda on until it stops going down the holes.
“Then pour in some cheap white vinegar, but before you do that boil the kettle so you can pour it in after you’ve made the vinegar.”
“So put some Zoflora on and it should be fine. I do it once a week.
Emma Clubb replied, “Baking soda and white vinegar.
“It will also fizz and dislodge anything left in the pipes, do this every night before bed, leave for 20 minutes then wash off with boiling water.
“It worked for me, I now do it religiously every Sunday night.”
